Gregory D. Smith was admitted to the Tennessee Bar in 1988. He graduated from Cumberland School of Law in the same year and was picked "Outstanding Tennessee Student". In 1985 he graduated with a B.S. Degree in Political Science from Middle Tennessee State University, and was picked "Outstanding Senior". Mr. Smith is a part-time municipal judge in Pleasent View, Tennessee and was Associate General Counsel for the Tennessee Bar Association from 1995 to 2001. For six years, Gregory D. Smith was a hearing officer for The Tennessee Supreme Court's Board of Professional Responsibility. For five years, Mr. Smith was a Juvenile Court Referee for the Montgomery County Juvenile Court. During law school, Gregory D. Smith was a municipal magistrate in Birmingham, Alabama. He has worked with the United States Attorney's Office and the Tennessee Supreme Court as an intern. Since 1988, Gregory D. Smith has been in private practice in Clarksville, Tennessee. He has acted as an adjunct law professor at Cumberland School of Law and at Austin Peay State University. Mr. Smith authored a book on Tennessee juvenile law. |
